The first 1,000 lbs are included in every bag's price, no extra charge. The average client's full bag weighs half to 3/4ths of a ton (1,000 to 1,500 lbs). Heavy materials like drywall typically exceed 1 ton (2,000+ lbs) per bag. If you're disposing of heavy materials like concrete, dirt, rocks, or large amounts of drywall, your bag may exceed the included allowance. Overage is $100 per additional 1,000 lbs ($200 per ton). If you're concerned about weight, feel free to call or text us for guidance.
Concrete, Brick, Dirt, Rock, Asphalt, Sand, Gravel, Sod
Very dense materials; a single cubic yard can be close to or over 1 ton.
A 4 yard bag filled mostly with heavy debris can easily weigh 4 to 6+ tons, which is above the 3.5 ton bag rating.
Only load a small portion of the bag with heavy debris and never fill the entire bag with concrete, brick, rock, dirt, sand, gravel, or sod.
Drywall, Roofing, Tile, Plaster, Mixed Remodel Debris
Drywall and mixed remodel debris are lighter than concrete but still add up quickly.
A 4 yard bag mostly full of this kind of material commonly falls in the 1 to 2.5 ton range.
Expect a full 4 yard bag of mostly drywall, roofing, or tile to weigh around 1 to 2+ tons, and try to mix these materials with lighter debris like wood and cardboard.
Wood, Cabinets, Doors, Vinyl/Laminate Flooring, Plastics, Packaging
Much lighter per cubic yard than concrete or roofing.
A 4 yard bag loaded mostly with light construction debris is commonly in the 0.75 to 1.5 ton range.
Use the bag freely for wood, cabinets, and packaging; a full 4 yard bag of mostly light construction debris is typically around 1 ton, sometimes up to about 1.5 tons.
Furniture, Mattresses, Clothing, Toys, Boxes, Small Appliances
Relatively light; space usually fills before weight.
A full 4 yard bag of typical household clean out material usually falls around 0.5 to 1.25 tons.
Plan for roughly 0.5 to 1+ tons for a full 4 yard bag of household junk; heavier loads happen mainly when there are many dense items like books or lots of small appliances.
Branches, Shrubs, Leaves, Grass
Branches and dry leaves are fairly light; wet grass, sod, and soil are much heavier.
A 4 yard bag of mostly branches and leaves typically weighs about 0.5 to 1 ton, but heavy, wet yard materials can push it into the 1 to 2 ton range.
Use the bag confidently for branches and leaves (around 0.5 to 1 ton for a full bag), and limit wet grass, sod, and soil to keep the total closer to 1 ton than 2 tons.
